In the final quarter of 2020, five drawing and coloring applications stood out in the U.S. Android market. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at their performance during this period.

Happy Color®: Coloring Book by X-FLOW saw its revenue climb steadily, ending the quarter with $16 thousand in the last week of December, up from nearly $6 thousand in late September. Downloads peaked in early October at around 92 thousand before settling to 96 thousand by year-end. Weekly active users reached a high of 1.2 million in mid-October but saw a slight decline to 1.1 million by December.

Pixel Art - Color by Number by Easybrain also experienced revenue growth, with $3.8 thousand in the last week of December, up from $3.1 thousand at the start of the quarter. Downloads hit their highest at nearly 84 thousand in late November, while weekly active users saw a modest increase from 465 thousand to 525 thousand over the quarter.

For Paint by Number: Coloring Game by Kidult Lovin, revenue saw a significant jump, reaching $28 thousand in the last week of December, a substantial rise from $12 thousand at the quarter's outset. Downloads surged to 89 thousand by the year's end, up from 54 thousand in late September. Active users grew from 477 thousand to 548 thousand during the same period.

Candy Mobile's Coloring Book: Color by Number showed a steady increase in downloads, from 43 thousand to 60 thousand by the end of December. Weekly active users also rose from 114 thousand to 148 thousand. Despite its growth in user engagement, the app reported no revenue.

Lastly, Colorscapes® - Color by Number from Playflux maintained a stable download trajectory, ending the quarter with 30 thousand downloads from an initial 45 thousand. Weekly active users fluctuated, ending at 241 thousand in December after a peak of 325 thousand in mid-December.
